I think half the problem is that people today are too quick to support overweight women and encourage them to love their curves when in fact they should be encouraging them to lose weight and lead a healthy lifestyle.

Being from the KC area, and a lifelong Royals fan, it's gotta be George Brett. DiMaggio, Bench, Robinson, Greenberg, etc are all great players, but Brett set the standard at 3rd base that still exists today. since he didn't play for a high profile team (i.e. Yankees, Red Sox), he's pretty much overlooked for the most part. but he was a great player through and through.

The ones I have dated do, and my guy friends are all unanimous on the issue...yes! And it has everything to do with your personal style and being comfortable in your skin..more than if you wear makeup all the time or wear certain labels...I love my curves and would rather look like I actually went through puberty...it's called womanhood for a reason...when you are in love with you (convinced and not conceited) the ones who love you too show up..and the other ones...you're too busy living life to notice them at all. A couple of things on this one.


First: I dated a full figure girl and never thought about it until one time when I went out with a skinny girl. When I put my arms around the skinny one to give her a hug it was a real turn off because all I could feel was bones. It didn't feel right and I didn't like it.

what a great way to try and make us feel better! We wera makeup because there is so much expectation from other girls (friends, cousins etc) for us to look good and when we look inthe mirror after having a bad day (arguements with friends, being dumped), we automatically blame it on our looks. We also tend to think that unless we wear makeup, we won't look older, or sophisticated. It is a way of proving we are growing up and also, to fool people into thinking we are goddesses when sometimes we are not!

i agree but i also wana say that theres a huge difference between ladies plastering on a mask of make up and what most women do which is just put on a bit to enhance features and give a little self confidence boost. personally i think less is definately more and a bit of lip gloss and white eyeliner is all a gal needs!!!

Some girls are scary w/o makeup. Some girls feel more confident in makeup. Some are scary WITH makeup(remember Tammy Faye Baker??). Less is more and makeup in moderation looks nice. We girls like to be pretty. Most of us are wired that way.

Find a place that sells different lengths. All the cheap stores do. Old Navy, Walmart, Steve and Barry's. I don't know about more expensive ones. I'm surprised those places you mentioned don't! If they do, but you are just having the waiste problem then maybe you just have to get them tailored. It's not really that expensive. I get it done all the time and I can't afford those brands you mentioned.

Another suggestion is to try some type of dry/raw denim. If you size 2 or 3 down (btw, most if not all dry denim is men's), after about a 2 weeks of nonstop wear, it will stretch from super tight to hug your hips perfectly. first off, i wouldnt suggest going completely without makeup. but i can help. okay so the most important thing your gonna wanna do is get your skin looking good. thats means going outside (obviously with sun cream on) and getting a glow, cleansing properly of a night and exfoliating twice a week. moisturise and if you have acne do what you can to get rid of it.

I think most people look best with a small amount of make up... it doesnt mean you have to wear loads thou and feel fake... but we all need a little helping hand and why not ay!





Get a good facial cleanser... it sounds like you have fairly sensitive skin - mine is sensitve and i use aqueous cream (avilable from the chemist its cheap too but amazing!) use it as a face wash to get off make up... has done wonders for my skin am telling everyone to use it hehehe.





You could try tinted moisteriser for your face if you need a bit of colour... if not then just go for mascara and a nude lip gloss.

Be hygienic. Take a shower once a day, preferably the morning because it can wake you up and be treat, especially if it is cool. Wash your hair at least every other day. Also, find moisturizing shampoos and conditioners too if you have dry hair.





Get a cute haircut. All different lengths you can get. If you decide to get a short haircut don't get a blunt boys cut, if you want to look feminine. Wispy and flipped out or chunky with color. -Do a mask once a week


-Wash your face every morning and every night before bed.

Great way to wear eye makeup?????

I have cat eyes, I'm a quarter chinese and it shows. I'm trying to find make-up that will round out my eyes better so they don't look so chinky.

First of all please don't use the term ';chinky'; in case you don't realize that is a derogatory term and when you say it in reference to yourself it just makes it okay for others to use it. Anyway I think cat eyes are beautiful but if you want them to look rounder you should try the smokey eye look. Just brush a light shimmery color on your lids up to the brow, then using a dark color (browns, deep plums, gray, or even a navy blue work well) and a contouring brush sweep the color all over your lower lid concentrating on the crease and let it fade out just beyond the outer corners of your eye. Then using a thick liner brush and the same dark color, line under your eyes and be sure to smudge it a bit (try using this brush to ';round out'; the outer corners). This look works best for night so I would maybe try it first when you are going out and then experimenting with different colors (maybe a subtle brown for day?) to see what you like the best.Great way to wear eye makeup?????
Use liquid eyeliner and extend the line past your lids. It will make your eyes seem more open and big.

I like to use pomade its eye shadow w/ 3 shades..What I do is I put the lightest color which is a shiny white on my eyebrows to make it stand out and ****, then I mix the darkest brown color with the medium brown together 'this is all done by hand' and put it on my middle part to make you not look like your trying to hard, then I just take the darkest shade and put it on my eyelid, it makes your eyes look darker and it highlights your eyes!

since you have tanned skins, almost all colour looks good on you (yay!)





for eyes- try shimmer pastel (you know, ice blue, ice lavender, ice green etc) or gold... dont use just silver though if blended with other complementing colors, it kinda works (i know because i have tanned skin). and use some mascara so that your eyes stand out behind glasses :)





for lips- try coral shades colors.... it's so good on tanned skin

I'm having some proffesional photo's taken of my kids later today (son aged 3 and daughter who's 9) . The frame the photo's are going to be mounted on is really trendy so do i dress them smart casual in jeans etc or because i want the photo's to be special shall i dress them up!

I always recommend solid colors, nothing too flashy, because you don't want to distract from what the picture's supposed to be about: the people. For kids, I recommend something comfortable so that they're not fidgeting with the clothes when you're trying to get the shot.





Like the other person said, I'd call the photographer and ask about backgrounds, too. I've seen all too many school pictures where kids are wearing a dark blue shirt and find themselves in front of a dark blue background. Kinda looks like a floating head, which can be as distracting as something too flashy.





If they're going to be outside, nothing bright white, either. That can be as flashy as paisley in the wrong lighting. Tans, light blues. Black can be bad outside, too, as they become a solar collector and start to sweat.Photo's. What to wear for that great wow!?
Agreeing with both before. Many think they need the best outfit for pictures and that is false unless the pics are fashion and about the clothes.





Clothes that are too distracting take away from the person(s) have their photos taken.





Especially with kids, comfortable is best. Outdoors, as stated before avoid black and white. Khaki's or denim are great outside or inside. Besure whatever shirts you use, they are solid if at all possible. Stripes, designs, flowers, wording, etc will distract from the pictures.





Call you photographer as he/she will know what they are planning and will be able to give you suggestions. Your photographer will probably appreciate you calling and asking.

I'd suggest casual - they're kids! The dont need to be all dressed up and uncomfortable unless its a wedding or something, lol. If its indoors I'd dress the kids both in jeans and a plain black or plain white long sleeved top, its neat and undistracting.





I'd recommend you dont try any take photos according to a frame you already have, but rather pick a frame that will compliment your photos...





The best thing you could do is call the photographer and discuss it with them, they will know what backdrops/props etc they will be using and can guide you with what clothes the kids should wear.





Try not to overthink it, the photos should be fun! The last think you want is to stress out the kids and have them unhappy or uncooperative.

The Greek Islands on Halsted street. It very casual with awesome reasonably priced food with beautiful Greek style atmosphere and music. I don't remember if they have outside seating,but it's perfect for a classy date or just with friends. The dress is casual. Try their assorted appetizers as it is the best I ever had.
