Why did the Japanese kamikaze pilots wear helmets if they were to collide against great ships and die?

I've never thought about that, man. I guess they had to wear the complete uniform, but if they were about to die, it makes no sense at all. You're quite right. Why did the Japanese kamikaze pilots wear helmets if they were to collide against great ships and die?
Standard Japanese military airmen uniform...dieing in it holds a message of the troopers dedication. Like the painted flag on the plane's wings. Why did the Japanese kamikaze pilots wear helmets if they were to collide against great ships and die?
To keep there hair from getting messed up ..................
lol, it's obviously not for protection. It's just the standard ';work uniform';.
They were proud of their uniform and also proud to die for their country.
hee- hee-hee-hee-hee now that's funny.

Well I guess the helmet mainted their equilibrium while in the pressure cabin in the plane.
Now you had to go and ask that! I'll be up all night wondering about it.

One of those things I never thought about, but yeah ... that's funny to think about!
They not wearing helmets; but with somesoft of japanese writing on it for sacrafice.
