All great things must first wear terrifying and monstrous masks ?

in order to inscribe themselves on the hearts of humanity.” ...

All great things must first wear terrifying and monstrous masks ?
...only the ignorant wear mask to scare all with fear and evil...when knowledge is learned there is no fear of ignorance, fear and evil...

...yet, they remain with us in our shortfalls as reminders...to overcome the adversity with the experience and knowledge gained...All great things must first wear terrifying and monstrous masks ?
When people are presented with something really new, it creates some chaos in their brains, and it can seem monstrous to them, espeically if they have become inflexible and set in their ways. As the experience of it is repeated, the brain learns to process it correctly and when it finally gets it, the thing is recognized as great and people hail the creator of it as a genius. But the thing itself is just the same the whole time.

I was going to say ';what about those great things that were inspired out of love and adoration?';, but on second thought, not a single one came to mind that wasn't terrifying and monstrous in some way to someone at some time - the Church is a good example, both Protestant and Roman Catholic. Here's one for ya: Could you say the same of all great people who've ';inscribed themselves on the hearts of humanity.';? Do the terrifying, monstrous masks apply?
no. humanity can be inscribed by the humblest of acts.

I guess it depends on what you mean by great.
all Righty then what ever you say
