I agree with you, their skin must be awful but unfortuately some women do actually need it. I dont bother myself and when i met my fella he was thrilled to know exactly what he was going to wake upto in the morning...lol.xWhy do you girls have to wear makeup, you look great without it?

what a great way to try and make us feel better! We wera makeup because there is so much expectation from other girls (friends, cousins etc) for us to look good and when we look inthe mirror after having a bad day (arguements with friends, being dumped), we automatically blame it on our looks. We also tend to think that unless we wear makeup, we won't look older, or sophisticated. It is a way of proving we are growing up and also, to fool people into thinking we are goddesses when sometimes we are not!

i started puting makeup regularly when i turned 16 and a half. i think younger then that..they shouldnt.


but yeah. its a girls thing. we have to! haha
i wear it just because i like to have a different look on my face sometimes...it can cover blemishes, and help sharpen and bring out oyur features

hmmm some girls get addicted to makeup!! lol but we use it at first because we want to look different not because we are ugly well thats not why i put it lol.........
Some girls start wearing it too young, then it becomes a habit they can't get out of. They fear people won't like what they see without the makeup.

we don't have to wear makeup, it's a personal choice. and personally, those commercials do not brainwash me as i know that everyone on there has been airbrushed to no end. i just like experimenting with the colors and i find it fun to play around with it.
i agree but i also wana say that theres a huge difference between ladies plastering on a mask of make up and what most women do which is just put on a bit to enhance features and give a little self confidence boost. personally i think less is definately more and a bit of lip gloss and white eyeliner is all a gal needs!!!

I am lucky to have great skin and features, but dont feel confident enough to prance about with no make up whatsoever on my face for some reason!!





I've got better recently though, I did my weekly shop with no make up on - but not out of choice, mainly out of laziness!

Lol, thanks for putting the blame on us for getting inundated with media messages. You try standing up to the opinions of advertisers, men, and other women... combined! It's sort of daunting.





Also, I think some guys see girls with natural-looking makeup, and believe they don't have any on. Even I can't always figure it out!





I do wish makeup wasn't so compulsory for women, though. (I know it's not, exactly, but there's still a lot of pressure.)
were just naturally self-conscious. generally boys dont care that much how they look, but girls always want to look their best. i think there is some brainwashing involved, but hey, we do look better with it on. it can bring out our best features and also make them look even better. however i can see your point as without makeup we look fresher and cleaner. there is beauty in simplicity.
when it gets reallly hot which it does ofton in australia. i can go really red and i just feel more comfortable with it on not having to worry bout that.


but i do aggree with you i should never have started putting it on coz now im addicted and i feel ugly if i dont have it on.

Some girls are scary w/o makeup. Some girls feel more confident in makeup. Some are scary WITH makeup(remember Tammy Faye Baker??). Less is more and makeup in moderation looks nice. We girls like to be pretty. Most of us are wired that way.


Most of us aren't trying to compete with those girls on commercials, but we do want to look good for our man (or for some ladies for their potential man).

some people just feel insecure without it. it helps cover up our zits, makes us feel prettier, and just helps our confidence. i saw like an 8 year today with makeup pancaked all over her face!! i personally love makeup and its a personal decision whether to wear it or not
well im glad i was born in an era where makeup is available! god i cant imagine being pale and pastey with no mascara on! i must admit some of its a waste of money, but a girl does feel more glamorous with her makeup on, its one of the good things about being female and i embrace it!

It can be a self-estreem issue but most girls just love make-up period. I know for myself, I always wear make-up because I enjoy putting it on in the mornings.

i don't wear make up.....except for when there is a big party or a wedding....and i look better without makeup......make up makes me look 20 instead of 15

That's a nice thing to say. I think some girls wear makeup to cover insecurities and some just wear it to express their personality and experiment with colour.





Personally, I don't bother unless I'm going somewhere nice. Makeup can't make you look slim anyway! :( lol
Some women wear make-up to enhance their looks, while some women wear it, just to wear it! I agree with you, people are wearing too much make-up now-a-days. But I wear makeup, but I make it look natural!
