Where can i find a great place to eat where if i wear a dress i wouldn't be over dressed?

I am having a 20th birthday dinner with a few of my friends and i want to look nice and wear a nice dress. But the places we go to all the time are more causal. i have no clue on where to go in New Jersey, on a college girls budget. Can you please help me by recommending a few places, not just websites to find these places? Its your birthday. If you want to wear a dress and get decked out do it doesn't really matter where you go. My girlfriends and I used to dress to the nines to go out dancing and stop off at McDonalds on the way. Sure we got some goofed out looks but who cares your out having a good time. If you go to a spot you always hit up the manager might even toss you a birthday upgrade like a free desert or round of drinks.. in your case coffees.Where can i find a great place to eat where if i wear a dress i wouldn't be over dressed?
Red lobster nothing sparklely because u do not want to stand out just were a sundress not a geeky sunderss but a girly one and some sandels no geeky sandels. but just something that would match.

You need to put New Jersey in the first part of your question. I was hoping I could answer your question in the SF bay area but I have no idea about NJ.
